Meet Kelly

Young woman with pink and dark hair and cat-eye eye make up, sitting at a table, with her face in one hand, looking at the camera with a soft smile

“If today sucks, tomorrow is completely different.” Kelly Dinwiddie (she/her) doesn’t sugarcoat what direct care is actually like. After almost seven years as a Direct Care Lead at Macdonald Residence (MacRes), she’s honest about the hard days, the relationships that make them worth it, and the sense of humor you need to survive both. She also can’t imagine doing anything else.

Meet Nikki

Seated white woman with dark hair up in a bun, softly smiling directly at the camera, wearing chef's whites and a clipped on name badge

Nikki and her Nutritional Services Team have far more than meals on the menu at Macdonald Residence Assisted Living (MacRes). They are serving up dignity.
Every part of Maybelle Center’s work is rooted in person-centered care, personal autonomy, and connection. Even the way we eat.

Meet Nina

A white presenting woman with dark glasses and buzz-cut hair sits holding a small dog and looking admiringly at the dog who is resting on one of her legs while their front paws are on her chest, their closes almost face to face

Behavioral Support Specialist Nina (and her ten-pound sidekick, Stevie Lix) help Residents at Macdonald Residence find stability and calm long before crisis hits. From easing transitions out of houselessness to supporting folks living with trauma, mental health, or substance use challenges, Nina’s work helps make Macdonald Residence more than an assisted living facility—it’s a place where belonging can grow.
