Whether you have always felt like you belonged or are still trying to find your place, Maybelle Center is a place where you can be known and know your presence matters. We offer a broad range of free programming where you can meet others through shared interests and explore or express your passions. No matter the class, group, or event, our priority is creating spaces where belonging can flourish that are inclusive of our neighbors facing unfair stigma around financial poverty or mental illness.
In some circles, the word “membership” equates to exclusivity. Here, it’s about inviting people in. We create welcoming spaces that prioritize neighbors facing mental illness or financial stigmas but serve all Portlanders in meeting their need to belong. If you don’t meet the criteria below, let’s talk about the best way to plug in. It’s going to take all of us to build a Portland where everyone belongs!
