Volunteer Mixer: Sustainable Volunteer Care
June 10 @ 12:15 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for a practical and supportive training led by Multnomah County’s Older Adult Behavioral Health Initiative. Open to volunteers, this session focuses on sustaining connection while caring for yourself in relationship-based work. We’ll cover:
- Healthy boundaries and de-escalation strategies
- The nervous system’s role in stress, connection, and burnout
- Grounding tools and end-of-shift practices for sustainability
We’ll eat lunch together from 12:15-1 PM and then dive into the training from 1-3 PM. Expect a mix of reflection, discussion, and hands-on skill-building you can apply right away.
Come connect, learn, and leave with tools to support your community & self!
