Taking a healthy look at ourselves with a new initiative

Every day we strive to have the greatest impact we can for the folks we serve. Why would we want anything less? But no matter how well we are doing, we believe there is always room for improvement.

So during 2018, while we continue to serve our members, we will also be taking a detailed look at every program and part of Maybelle Center.

We will start by validating our core values and mission, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that we are fulfilling that mission to the greatest degree possible.

To be certain that every voice is heard, the process will combine discussion sessions with all of our stakeholders: members, volunteers, staff, donors, and our board. We will get help from experts in facilitation, program evaluation, fundraising, and communications. We’ll also be looking at the road ahead to be certain that we’re well prepared for the future.

We’d welcome your involvement

If you’d like to be part of our March donor discussion, please contact us at 971-202-7452 or dwensel@maybellecenter.org. The voices of both new and long-time donors are essential.

Jillianne never grew out of the childhood “But, why?” stage. This insatiable curiosity led her to get two masters degrees (Adult Ed. & MBA). Jillianne can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon than listening to someone’s story and getting a glimpse of the unseen history that we all hold. She believes there is beauty and value in all our stories, even if they’re messy. Outside of her work as our Communications Manager, you’ll find her chasing middle-schoolers in her role as a Youth Director and stepping on Legos left by her two young boys.
