Arts and Crafts classes are now in the afternoon! Join Jennifer and Shane to work together on a variety of group art projects that will be displayed in our Community Room and at our upcoming art show in September.
Join us for a day of reflection, intention, community, and celebration at our Spiritual Retreat on October 12th. This year, we will head over as one group but have men's, women's, and Rainbow Group breakout sessions in separate rooms. Transportation and food included. RSVP by October 6th by signing up in the Community Room or contacting Matt (971-202-7456) or Jennifer (971-202-7466). Space is first-come-first-serve and limited to 24 members, so sign up soon! IMPORTANT: To participate, you must be able to independently take care of any medication and personal care/hygiene issues. We will take a bus to the site and have limited accommodation available. Note: there is no Men's or Women's Group on Thursday, 10/12.
There may be spots still available! This is a hands-on, creative writing workshop devoted to generative writing and the transformative power of writing in community. The workshop culminates in an anthology publication and public reading. Open to writers of all levels and experience. If you are interested and haven't signed up, please contact Jennifer at 971-202-7466.
It's Bingo Time! Join us for a few rounds. It's one of our most favorite parts of the week.
Every Friday morning from 10:00 to noon you'll find us in the Community Room shouting BINGO!
June is Pride Month, and we’re celebrating with a new Rainbow Group at Maybelle Center! This group will be open to all members and staff who identify as part of the LGBTQIA2s+/Queer Community. We will create a safer space for participants to be supportive of one another as LGBTQIA2s+/Queer community members, explore the larger LGBTQIA2s+ Community, assist in planning Maybelle’s participation in the Pride NW Parade, and find ways to celebrate Queer JOY together! The group will determine the details of how we meet these goals. Rainbow Group Meetings will be held in South Conference Room B (across from the Classroom). For more information, please get in touch with Squier or Shane.
We've decided to hold quarterly lunches to eat together, brainstorm new ideas, and discuss any questions or concerns. There will be a whiteboard in the Southside Conference Rooms to write down a specific topic or issue you would like to be addressed. Pizza and drinks provided.
