Write Around Portland
Maybelle CenterThere may be spots still available! This is a hands-on, creative writing workshop devoted to generative writing and the transformative power of writing in community. The workshop culminates in an anthology publication and public reading. Open to writers of all levels and experience. 45th Parallel Chamber Orchestra and Maybelle Community Singers Performance
Maybelle CenterWe are honored to have 45 Parallel, one of Portland’s most beloved musician collectives, join us for a night of celebration of music. Their small ensemble of Pacific Northwest musicians will play alongside our very own Maybelle Community Singers. We hope to see you there!
Rainbow Group
Maybelle CenterJune is Pride Month, and we’re celebrating with a new Rainbow Group at Maybelle Center! This group will be open to all members and staff who identify as part of the LGBTQIA2s+/Queer Community. We will create a safer space for participants to be supportive of one another as LGBTQIA2s+/Queer community members, explore the larger LGBTQIA2s+ Community, assist in planning Maybelle’s participation in the Pride NW Parade, and find ways to celebrate Queer JOY together! The group will determine the details of how we meet these goals. Rainbow Group Meetings will be held in South Conference Room B (across from the Classroom). Community Choir
Maybelle CenterHave fun and meet new friends while practicing your singing skills! No experience necessary-- anyone and everyone can sing.
