From an email written by Bob Wright: "Attached are some photographs of Santi (and me) at Bayanihan last year. Bayanihan, in the native Tulog language, means “a community coming together” in the spirit of communal unity and cooperation. "The top photos show Santi pointing to himself in the photo to the right, when he was in high school in Portland. I just had to horn in and pat him on the shoulder for the photographer. In the middle photo, I’m pointing to Santi when somebody had asked to meet him. In the lower left photo, Santi is receiving the personal “challenge coin” from a retired two-star US Army general, who, like Santi had been born in the Philippines, in or near Manilla. There was a lot of cultural dancing, music and singing. If you would like to see more (much more), go to the following links. Santi is in some of the photos, including Albert, his younger brother, the youngest in the large family."
