Jennifer letter

A letter to you from our member, Jennifer

Dear Maybelle Donors,

I moved to the Stadium Station Apartments last April. People compliment me on my personality and being bubbly and happy-go-lucky. But it's not easy to make friends because there's not really a community room. I didn't know many people there, except for a dog named Pepper.

I used to go to another place, but since COVID, they closed down, and I'm not exactly sure if they'll ever open it up again.

My friend Carl goes to Maybelle Center, and he's like, "You should try it because you live downtown."

And so I went through orientation, started going, and I loved it. I go Monday for choir, and we just started a new drama class on Fridays, which I really love.

I've been feeling more like myself lately.

Maybelle Center is a place where I can be myself and hang out with my friends. The staff truly care about us and our relationships with our friends. They respect me, and I respect them – it makes me feel good about myself.

Sincerely,

Jennifer.
